Terms and Conditions

Walk Darwin’s office hours are 7:00am to 7:00pm (Central Standard Time, Northern Territory UTC +9.30 hours) Monday to Saturday to answer any questions you may have.


Bookings can be made direct with Walk Darwin via this website. Once payment is made, you’ll receive an email within 24 hours.

Please note that all our tours require a minimum number of paying guests to operate. Should you receive an email that says ‘Request’, it means you are the first to book but as soon as the next person books, a confirmation email will be generated. If we find that you are the only guest booked on any given date, we will notify you 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure time and provide an alternate date for your consideration.

All guests on our tours must hold a valid ticket or confirmation email and we ask that you be at the designated departure point 5 minutes prior to departure time. Participation may be refused if ticket is damaged or illegible in any way or not produced at time of request.


Walk Darwin reserves the right to cancel or vary our tours without notice, due to but not limited to changes to by-laws, re-zoning and any other unexpected impacts and reserves the right to withdraw, add, vary, substitute any advertised routes, prices, and/or departure times for tours without notice. All reasonable effort will be made to minimise variations and inform those bookings already in place.

Fitness level

All guests acknowledge and agree that they participate in our tours at their own risk.

Guests need to be able to walk at a leisurely pace for a period of 1 to 2 hours over paved or gravel footpaths and parkland. We do stop regularly in shaded areas to talk, however, there are limited places to sit and rest.

Walk Darwin reserves the right to refuse participation on our tours to any person, for any reason.


Guests are asked to be respectful to others and not interfere with the guide’s ability to conduct a tour in a safe manner.

All guests acknowledge and agree that Walk Darwin is expressly authorised to photograph guests during the tour and utilise such photographs for the purpose of advertising Walk Darwin including but not limited to being displayed on Walk Darwin’s website and social media.

Photographs taken by Walk Darwin are copyright and cannot be reproduced without written permission from Walk Darwin.

Cancellation policy

Once a booking has been confirmed the following cancellation conditions apply.

Travel Agents may apply additional fees, please refer to your agent’s booking conditions.


Bookings are not considered confirmed unless full payment has been received by Walk Darwin.

If Walk Darwin is forced to cancel a tour for any reason a full refund will be made within 5 working days of notification.

Public Liability

Walk Darwin holds Public Liability Insurance to the value of $20 Million in relation to its guided walks.

To the extent permitted by law, Walk Darwin excludes liability and will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury arising from, or connected with the tour, no matter how that loss, damage or injury is caused. In particular, Walk Darwin will not be responsible for loss or damage arising from a guests failure to obey the guides’ instructions.


Any information collected by Walk Darwin during your contact with us will be maintained in the strictest confidentiality. No information will be divulged, shared or sold to any third party and records will be destroyed once Walk Darwin is no longer required to keep them.

We will collect the email address you nominate and any other identifying information you provide, such as a name or phone number. This information may be used by Walk Darwin to communicate with you regarding our services.

Rezdy is the service provider of our booking system and all credit card information is securely stored on SecurePay servers. Payment will be processed at the time of booking.

What to wear or bring

We recommend you dress appropriately for our weather conditions on the day of your tour and suggest the following items: hat/parasol, sunscreen, suitable non-slip walking shoes, camera and bottled drinking water.
