Fitness Level
By booking a Walk Darwin tour guests acknowledge and agree that they participate in the tour at their own risk.
You need to be able to walk at a leisurely pace for a period of 1 to 2.5 hours over paved or gravel footpaths and parkland. We do stop regularly in shaded areas to talk, however, there are limited places to sit and rest.
Walk Darwin reserves the right to refuse participation on our tours to any person, for any reason.
Accessibility
Darwin City is reasonably flat and easy to walk and Walk Darwin has selected its city routes to avoid stairs as much as possible and enable wheelchair participation. There are curb ramps on most path-to-road accesses.
The Botanic Garden walks follow a paved pathway, however they can move off the path onto grass and gravel areas. There is one large incline to navigate down and a long gently inclined ramp.
We ask that when booking your Walk Darwin experience please advise of any wheelchair or mobility scooter access requirements so your guide can prepare their route prior to you joining the tour.
NOTE: Ship-to-shore guests with mobility concerns should contact Walk Darwin direct to discuss your needs.
